KF is an active member in its community and is always eager to assist in educating current and upcoming students of Aviation. In conjunction with the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) and School District 23 (SD23), KF built a new $6 million hangar and training facility in 2005. This venture provides permanent classroom space for BCIT students in Aviation and expand KF's business to include maintenance on wide body aircrafts such as the Boeing 757/767. KF, BCIT and SD23 also implemented a Transport Canada approved Aircraft Structural Repair Technicians Course in 1999 to assist with the shortage of employees in this profession. By having training and employment opportunities closer to home, the growing available training at the Kelowna facility will ensure the Okanagan remains a leader in the British Columbia Aerospace Industry.

As a Learning Organization, we are looking at innovative ways to deliver training to both our employees and customers. We have developed a new E-learning platform and are in development for a number of courses, including, for example, Risk Management, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (Pilots or Shippers), Human Factors, WHMIS, Handling Controlled Goods, and Handling Liquid Nitrogen.
